Is your life better because of me?

What if all we focused on was making other lives better because we were part of it?

I was deeply moved by this quote by John O’Leary when I read it recently, and I cannot stop thinking about it.

“The goal of our lives is not status or ease, but leading, serving, elevating & inspiring in such a manner that other lives are better because we were part of it.”

-John O’Leary

If you are like me, there are so many things that you feel powerless about right now. One thing that is well within our control is how we interact with the people right in front of us.

How do I treat people I don’t agree with?

How do I treat people who are taking their feelings out on me?

How do I treat people I do agree with?

How do I treat people who look at the world differently than I do?

When we focus on helping others feel better because of our presence, regardless of the circumstances, we feel positive and powerful. We may not agree, but we can always communicate with love and empathy at the forefront.

When it comes down to it, so often the most important things in our lives are in our control.

Living life with a “Serendipity Mindset” does not mean pretending that everything is a happy accident. It means knowing that everything we go through, from our highest of highs to our lowest of lows, offers us beautiful gifts–IF we look for them. You can check out the #SerendipityEDU books out on Amazon by clicking HERE. Each book is filled with inspiration to help us discover the gifts in along life’s journey. With the addition of my newest book, a middle-grades chapter book called The Serendipity Journal, there is a book for every age level. There is no better time to start looking for happy accidents.
