Thanksgiving.
I am so thankful for this life full of ups and downs and everything in between.
Today I give thanks for the resilience of our being.
For the grit that allows us to get knocked down and to get back up again.
For the fresh start of a new day we face with a smile on our faces despite the heartache.
For the hope that lightens our burdens and allows us to dream of solutions.
For the servant souls who push aside their own feelings of ineptitude and still keep fighting.
For the pats on the back and the hugs that remind us that we are not alone.
I give thanks.
For understanding that the challenges we face tomorrow will require a new skill set that we are still acquiring.
For family and friends and colleagues who love us because we are figuring it out with them.
I am thankful for each moment of hurt, sadness, heartache, and despair.
Met with light, joy, hope, dreams, and action.
